Training Compliance
Track staff qualification rates, training gaps, and expiring certifications across your facility.
Training Compliance Report
The Training Compliance report at /reports/training-compliance gives you a facility-wide view of how your staff are tracking against their training requirements — essential for USP 797 compliance and FDA 503B inspections.

Why training compliance matters
Under 21 CFR Part 211 and USP 797/800, every person involved in sterile compounding must be trained and qualified before they perform a task. FDA inspectors routinely ask to see training records during 503B inspections. This report gives you a pre-built, inspection-ready view of your compliance status.
Report sections
Qualification rates by role
A donut or bar chart showing the percentage of staff who have completed all required training for their role. Broken down by:
- Compounding Technician
- QA Officer
- Pharmacist-in-Charge
- Lab Technician
- Other roles
Use this to quickly identify which role groups have the lowest compliance and need attention.
Training gaps
A table of staff members who have at least one incomplete or overdue training assignment, showing:
- Staff name and role
- Which training plan is incomplete
- Original due date
- Days overdue
This is the view to action first — follow up with these individuals directly.
Media fill coverage
Media fill (aseptic process simulation) is a specific USP 797 requirement for anyone who performs aseptic technique in ISO 5. This section shows:
- Who has completed an initial media fill
- Who has completed their annual re-qualification media fill
- Who is overdue for re-qualification
Note: Staff without a current, passing media fill cannot perform aseptic compounding under USP 797.
Expiring qualifications
Certifications that expire within the next 90 days. Use this to plan your upcoming training schedule and avoid gaps. Includes: media fill re-qual, aseptic technique refreshers, garbing competency checks.

Preparing for an inspection
- Run this report and filter to Overdue — resolve all overdue assignments before inspection.
- Check Media Fill Coverage — every compounder must have a current record.
- Export the training matrix (Training → Matrix) as a PDF — inspectors typically ask for this grid view.
- Cross-reference with the Audit Trail to verify that training completions are signed electronically.
